As someone who grew up with body dysphoria, and just recently with time was able to grow and accept different aspects of my own body and its 'imperfections', this piece is deeply rooted within the collective female experience amongst those who grew up with the internet/ media at their fingertips. This piece is both about accepting our physical scars, as well as realizing we would not be as powerful or strong without our mental scars/learned experiences
